The race for fourth place in the Premier League looks to be hotting up after a weekend of dramatic results left five teams within five points of each other.
Draws for Manchester United and West Ham let Wolves close the gap with a brilliant win at Tottenham, while Arsenal remain in the mix despite not playing, with scheduled opponents Chelsea busy winning the Club World Cup.
Top two Manchester City and Liverpool both won without conceding, while there were big wins at the other end of the table for Everton and Newcastle.
Brighton and Southampton are going in the right direction, but the bottom three all lost as a four-point gap opened up above the relegation zone.
Here are Mirror Football’s 10 talking points from the weekend’s action.
Same story for United
Manchester United 1-1 Southampton
Ralf Rangnick’s side played twice last week. They opened the scoring in both games midway through the first half, failed to extend their lead and conceded straight after the break to draw 1-1 on both occasions.
Just like at Burnley on Tuesday, United started brightly before fading after half-time to allow their opponents back into it against Southampton.
There are problems at both ends of the pitch, with Cristiano Ronaldo now six games without a goal and the defence short of confidence and form.
United play their game in hand against Brighton tomorrow night. After dropping four points in five days, it looks like a must-win.
Hasenhuttl hits his stride
United came up against a determined, organised and hugely confident Southampton side at Old Trafford.
Although they needed Fraser Forster to make some saves and rode their luck at times, Saints were deserving of their point, which came thanks to a measured finish from Che Adams.
The draw completed a brilliant run, which has seen Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side go unbeaten against Man City, Tottenham and United over the past three weeks.
Saints have lost just once in their last eight Premier League games and have now played home and away against Man City, United, Tottenham and West Ham without losing this season.
Reds staying the pace
Burnley 0-1 Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp has written off Liverpool's title chances, publicly at least, but his players are thinking otherwise as a fourth successive win – 1-0 at Burnley on Sunday – kept them in touch with City.
The Reds remain nine points adrift of Pep Guardiola's side with a game in hand and 14 still to play, with the two sides scheduled to meet at the Etihad Stadium on April 9.
Liverpool have now won six on the spin in all competitions and are keeping City on their toes.
Magpies flying
Newcastle 1-0 Aston Villa
Newcastle remained entrenched in the bottom three when denied a desperately needed home win by a late equaliser against Watford in mid-January, but fast forward a month and the gloom is lifting at St James' Park.
Eddie Howe's side have conjured three wins on the bounce, with Sunday's 1-0 success against Aston Villa, courtesy of Kieran Trippier's second goal in as many matches, lifting them four points clear of the relegation zone.
The Magpies are unbeaten in five Premier League matches and are feeling the effect of the January transfer window, with Dan Burn impressive at the back against Villa.
Spurs in downward spiral
Tottenham 0-2 Wolves
Tottenham's hopes of a top-four finish have massively waned after a 2-0 home defeat to Wolves condemned them to a third straight league loss.
Defensive lapses are costing the Londoners dear and Antonio Conte has it all to do to turn it around and secure Champions League football next season.
Spurs have slipped to eighth place, six points behind fourth-placed West Ham, albeit with three games in hand on the Hammers.
They must bid to halt their slide and ease the growing pressure on their manager at Pep Guardiola's City on Saturday.

Toffees stick at it for Lampard
Everton 3-0 Leeds
Everton boss Lampard kick-started his tenure at Goodison Park with his first league win as Leeds were swept aside 3-0 on Saturday.
The Toffees' previous defeat at Newcastle in midweek had left them three points above the drop zone, but against Leeds they showed they were ready to roll up their sleeves and fight for their new boss.
Lampard described his side's display as "special" as they snapped a six-game winless run and left Leeds looking over their shoulder.
Zouma hogs headlines
Leicester 2-2 West Ham
Kurt Zouma's inclusion in West Ham's starting line-up again and his subsequent withdrawal through illness overshadowed his side's draw at Leicester.
Craig Dawson's stoppage-time header earned the Hammers a crucial point in their bid for a Champions League place, but the spotlight remained fixed on Zouma.
A video showing him abusing his pet cat, which went viral earlier in the week, left Hammers boss David Moyes once again pleading for forgiveness on behalf of the French defender after the match.
Sterling the man for City
Norwich 0-4 Manchester City
Earlier this season there was plenty of speculation about Raheem Sterling leaving Man City.
The England forward was unhappy with his game time under Pep Guardiola and was reportedly a target for Barcelona.
Fast-forward to the present day and all is now rosy for Sterling, who scored a hat-trick in City’s comfortable win at Norwich on Saturday.
Sterling has now scored 115 goals under Guardiola, a tally that only Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi can top for the Catalan coach.
Watford in danger
Watford 0-2 Brighton
Roy Hodgson’s record of never having been relegated from the Premier League is under serious threat after a home defeat by Brighton.
Watford are without a win in 11 league games and are yet to even score a goal under the veteran manager, who replaced Claudio Ranieri three matches ago.
Newcastle’s win was bad news for Hodgson’s side, who are 19th and six points from safety and sinking like a stone.
Watford travel to Aston Villa this weekend before hosting Hodgson’s former club Crystal Palace in what is likely to be a must-win.
Bees need Eriksen
Brentford 0-0 Crystal Palace
Brentford are six games without a win in the Premier League, but their goalless draw against Palace saw them go seven points clear of the relegation zone.
The Bees signed Christian Eriksen in January and Thomas Frank will be desperate to get him fit and onto the pitch as soon as possible.
Frank’s side have not scored in their last two games and haven’t scored more than one goal in a match since beating Aston Villa 2-1 on January 2.
“The big positive is we got the clean sheet,” said Frank. “With Christian here as well now there are a lot of positives to look forward to.”
