The Premier League are reportedly planning to offer live television coverage of every Sunday match beginning from the 2024/25 season.
Typically, only a small number of games are broadcast live on a Sunday. But that is reportedly set to be changed, with a plan to increase the number of games shown live.
As it stands, 200 games per season are broadcast and if the plan goes ahead, that total will increase to 270. Teams competing in the Europa League will reportedly net payments of around £1million per match when they are in action on Sundays.
Another reported change would be the increase of matches played on Friday and Monday evenings, in a bid to attract higher offers from broadcasters. The Premier League's current domestic TV deal is said to be worth £5billion over three years after a contract was signed in 2018.
