Here are the latest Premier League headlines on Thursday, 16 June 2022.
City prepare Cucurella bid
Manchester City are preparing an opening offer for Brighton & Hove Albion left back Marc Cucurella. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that talks are at an advanced stage for Pep Guardiola’s top target.
Cucurella enjoyed a superb campaign for the Seagulls last season, scooping the club’s player of the year award in his first year on the South Coast. City are keen on bolstering their options at full back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko heavily linked with a move away this summer.
Bissouma passes medical
Yves Bissouma has passed his medical at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of his move from Brighton & Hove Albion. Spurs agreed a £25 million deal with the Seagulls earlier this week and all that stands between its completion is official confirmation.

According to the Evening Standard, Bissouma successfully underwent a medical at the training ground today and is set to become their third signing of the summer. Spurs boss Antonio Conte is said to be targeting another four signings, with Djed Spence, Christian Eriksen and Alejandro Bastoni among those being linked.
Fulham close to Palhinha deal
Fulham have agreed an €18 million fee for Sporting Club de Football midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to Fabrizio Romano. The newly promoted side are looking to beat Wolves to his signature, who have also reached an agreement for the Portugal international.
Palhinha is tempted by Wolves’ proposal but with his move to Molineux hinging on Ruben Neves’ future, Fulham could jump ahead in the race. Neves has been linked to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but Wolves’ huge price tag is putting off potential suitors.
