Premier League manager snubs Arsenal amid Tottenham and Chelsea title contenders claim

Even at this early stage of the season, there are debates about which teams are title contenders in the Premier League. Arsenal currently lead the way at the top, with Tottenham four points behind them in third, and Chelsea well off the pace - a whole eight points behind the Gunners.

Arsenal have had an extremely impressive start to the new campaign with seven wins from eight games, but some pundits are still reluctant to consider them as title challengers just because of the sheer quality of Manchester City.

"I think they can win this league by 15-20 points," said Gary Neville. "It feels like a ridiculous statement to make when they're not even top of the league at this moment in time - but I think they're that good."

Tottenham and Chelsea are priced up as big outsiders to win the Premier League with SkyBet, at 22/1 and 33/1, respectively. Spurs suffered their first defeat of the season at Arsenal in the North London Derby last weekend, while Chelsea fans won't be expecting their team to challenge for the top spot this term, with Graham Potter very much overseeing a long-term project at Stamford Bridge.

However, new Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi believes Spurs and the Blues could both win the league title this season. Ahead of the Seagulls' clash against Antonio Conte's side on Saturday, De Zerbi heaped praise on Tottenham, but he didn't include Arsenal in his title conversation. Whether that was by accident or deliberate is another question.

"Tottenham, this year, they are in the right condition to win the Premier League," said De Zerbi.

"It's not easy because there is City, Liverpool and Chelsea, but Tottenham have bought very good players, and with one year of work with Antonio, they are able to win the Premier League."
