- Newcastle United have announced a number of stadium upgrades after asking for feedback from fans on how the matchday experience at St James’ Park can be improved.
- The club confirmed that 10,000 seats at the 52,000-capacity stadium have been replaced over the past five years, and a further 2,000 have been replaced with brand new seats this season in the North and South Stand paddocks.
- Newcastle also stated that former betting kiosks have been converted to bars and food kiosks, and that “four additional locations have also been identified for future conversions”.
- Furthermore, the Premier League giants announced that all stadium floodlights will be replaced ahead of next season and that “work is now underway to deliver full stadium 5G”.
- The club confirmed that its supporters currently rate the matchday experience at St James’ Park as 4.05 out of 5, according to their survey.
