Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to the fixtures for the 2023/24 Premier League season, with the early run-in the focus.
The fixtures were released by the Premier League at 9am, with the Reds facing a tough set of away fixtures in the opening week of the season. Steve Cooper ’s men kick off the campaign with a trip to take on last season’s runner’s up Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
They then host newly promoted Sheffield United at the City Ground, before facing another tough away fixture against Manchester United. That is followed by two more away fixtures against Chelsea and treble winners Man City, in between is another home game vs Burnley.

The fixtures mean that Forest face four of the traditional ‘big six’ away from home in their first six games of the campaign. It was the side’s away from which was a problem of the season just gone, with Cooper hoping to improve that in the 2023/24 season.
Following the release of the fixtures, fans took to social media to deliver their thoughts. Here’s what just some had to say.
Sam Uel : That's a tough start #nffc
Stale : Holy maloney! Arsenal and United away in the first three I am ready though
Hannah Forest : Nice to get four of the toughest away matches out of the way first. #nffc
Martin NcEwan : Throwing us right into the fire in August. #NFFC
William Eaton : That away first 4 is a horrible start #nffc
James : Absolutely horrendous opening fixtures. Away to Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Man City all in the first 6 games. Painful. #NFFC
Dave Holmes : Wow those first few away games for #NFFC are brutal on the flip side the first few home games are all very winnable. There’s probably some benefit in getting the tough away games out the way earlier in the season.
Matt Barnett : Well, I guess getting the top 5 out of the way in your first 5 away games means the rest of the season for #nffc will be less painful
Daniel : Away at the big 6 4 times in the first 6 games, 2 home games in the first 6, the most Forest thing ever doubt any side has got a tougher run of games than that at any point #NFFC
Daniel Green : We have to have to have to improve away form this year!!! #NFFC
