For most companies, depending on their fiscal year, the second-quarter earnings season is not off to a good start and it has not even officially begun yet.

Earlier in the week, RH (NYSE:RH) tempered investor expectations for the quarter, and after the close on Thursday, Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) did the same for its fourth quarter.
