The government has reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with 18 members, including actors Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Joshi, Priyadarshan and Prosenjit Chatterjee.
The new board will take effect immediately and have a tenure of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a notification issued on September 16.
Other prominent names on the reconstituted board include actor and filmmaker Pallavi Joshi, actor Roopali Ganguly, filmmaker Neela Madhab Panda, actor Nishigandha Wad, singer Hansraj Hans and filmmaker Waman Kendre.
