Stacey Solomon has made a rare comment about her mum while brimming with excitement over her latest venture. The Loose Women star, who is currently heavily pregnant with her fifth child, took to her Instagram Story on Sunday (January 29) after giving a glimpse at her adorable baby shower.
Stacey, 33, shared how she hadn't planned a baby shower and didn't think she'd be having one, saying she felt like she had had 'too many already' having already welcomed four children into the world - Rex, two, and one-year-old Rose with her husband Joe Swash, plus sons Zachary and Leighton from previous relationships.
But her sister, Jemma, wasn't going to let Stacey's pregnancy pass by without a little celebration and rocked up at her home, which is dubbed Pickle Cottage, with some of her closest friends and set up a gorgeous display.
"Baby Shower. In the kitchen," Stacey started the caption of her heart-warming post. "My sister surprised me and got our family and bestest friends into the kitchen yesterday to celebrate our newest baby girl…" she added alongside a string of stunning pictures before explaining the reason for the location: "Can’t leave close proximity of the house now until the main event."
The Sort Your Life Out host went on to say: "I honestly feel so grateful. I didn’t organise anything because firstly I didn’t think we’d have time, but also I felt like I maybe shouldn’t have one because I’ve been so lucky to have showered so many blessings already. Silly I know but hormones will do that to ya I suppose."
She rounded off her post: "I’m so grateful to my family & friends and everyone who’s made me remember how lucky we are to get to do this again and how every miracle can have a celebration. To the moon and back always."
And after giving her fans an insight into her personal life, Stacey had some professional news to share. The former X Factor star, who is pregnant with a baby girl, took to Instagram to reveal why she's "never been so excited". "I can't even describe how excited I am to share this with you because I can't even believe it's happened and it's happening," she told her 5.5 million followers while speaking to the camera.
"So, when I first started working with Abbott Lyon, they said to me 'If you could create any piece of jewellery, what would your dream piece of jewellery be?' And I was like, 'I'd love to create charms'." Speaking about how her mum, Fiona, inspired the idea, she went on: "It was something that my mum, used to have a charm bracelet and I was obsessed with it and she'd tell me a little story about each charm each time she had it on - she'd go through them all with me."
She then added: "All the little doodles I drew, Abbot Lyon made them up and now I have an actual collection," before showing off the entire collection featuring some charms that had been dedicated to her kids, husband, mum, and beloved pets.
It comes after Stacey revealed what her first job would be following her maternity leave. She revealed last week that she has accepted a new job after being invited to work on a new Channel 4 show by a Hollywood star's production company. The programme, titled Bricking It, will see Stacey and her team help people whose builders have left their projects unfinished.
Announcing her new job, Stacey said in a video from her home while showing off her blossoming baby bump: "For a little while I've been talking to Channel 4 and a production company called Hello Sunshine which was founded by Reese Witherspoon. She created it to champion women in film and TV, she's just incredible at building women up and putting them at the forefront.
"And they asked me if I wanted to make a show with them and I was like' hell yeah I'll make a show with Reese Witherspoon's production company'. They are words I never thought I'd say. So in the summer we're gonna start filming a show called Bricking It. And it's basically gonna be a show where we go in and help people who have been done over by bad builders, run out of funding, can't finish their projects and we're gonna help them get to where they need to be. And I get to learn new skills along the way so I'm gonna learn things that I have always wanted to do but I'm not confident with, so like roofing, bricklaying, proper DIY.
She then rounded off her post: "I can't wait. I'm so excited and just I'm so happy that I finally get to share it." It is thought that Brickin' It with Stacey will be Hello Sunshine's first UK project.
