Jeremy Vine presenter Storm Huntley has revealed she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy and asked fans for advice.
The star, who is expecting her first child with Scots singer Kerr Okan, took to Twitter to share the news and said it came as a shock to her.
She shared a picture of her new kit with her 68,000 followers.
She wrote: "Diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes about three weeks ago and it’s all a bit big and scary. I know lots of you have to deal with this daily, so any advice?"
And many sent the mum-to-be some words of wisdom.
One wrote: "I'm a type 1 diabetic. My advice is to just test regularly or when you don't feel quite like yourself. Also, I always keep chocolate on me for when my blood sugar is low. Having a medical reason to eat chocolate kinda rocks."
Another added: "I had the same, not going to lie it is tough but it’s a strength you find for your little one."
While one said: "Sorry to hear this Storm. My biggest tip is to not Google it. Listen to your midwives, your consultant and do as they suggest. You’re nearly there! I found pregnancy a period of constant anxiety. Nothing like I imagined."
Storm, 34, has been sharing her pregnancy journey online and has showed off her blossoming bump this week.
This is Storm and her husband's first baby and the couple, who tied the knot in Scotland last year, recorded the moment they found out they were having a boy after Kerr kicked a football revealing blue smoke.
