Gemma Atkinson has revealed how she suffered a blunder before 'last' TV appearance as she signed off ahead of welcoming her second child. The Hits Radio host has already been away from the radiowaves for a number of weeks after heading off on maternity leave.
But that didn't stop her from working as she had a few other commitments in between preparing for her son's appearance after announcing earlier this year that she was expecting a baby boy with her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance Gorka Marquez, four years after welcoming their first child, daughter Mia, into the world.
Sitting out in the garden of her Greater Manchester home, Gemma shared how she was heading to appear for the last time before becoming a mum-of-two on Steph's Packed Lunch with host Steph McGovern.

She said to the camera in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Monday (June 12): "Last drive to Leeds today for the Steph show, My last one before he arrives because I'm not keeping doing the drive to Leeds - I physically can't! So yeah, tune in."
Later, after being seen testing out the latest pregnancy gadgets on the Channel 4 show, Gemma returned to Instagram and posted a snap of herself showing she still has her flexibility despite being heavily pregnant as she laid on one of the show's sofas with one of her legs high up in the air.
But in the caption of the post, the 38-year-old explained that the comfy, all-black outfit she was sporting wasn't originally planned as she outed her own blunder. "Last show on @packedlunchc4 before little man arrives," Gemma began. "Thought it apt to share today's pic (I brought a lovely white top for the show but got my foundation all over it so scruffy black tee shirt it was)."
The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star then melted hearts as she shared a throwback video of little Mia. "Swipe to see the first time Mia saw me on the show 2 years ago," Gemma explained about the clip which showed her first child seeing her mum on the TV before repeating 'mummy' around the living room.
"She was so chuffed! Now, she couldn’t care less," Gemma laughed. She then candidly rounded off her post by saying: "Love being part of the team. @stephlunch and the whole crew are wonderful. Looking forward to watching on the couch for the next few months likely covered in sick & poo and I’ll be back after Mat leave."
TV presenter Helen Skelton, Gemma's new pal after she teamed up with Gorka on Strictly last year, was quick to respond with two red heart emojis while her Strictly co-star Fleur East also posted two love heart eyes emojis.
But it was Gemma's flexibility that caught her followers' attention. @lou_t_78 said: "Bloody hell I can’t do that now let alone when I was heavily pregnant." @team_firaisingcancerawareness joked: "Ready in birth position." @jamesherting quipped: "That's how you got the bump in the first place mrs BENDY."
However, Mia was also getting the attention for her appearance in the sweet clip. @kinrade67 said: "Mia’s too cute… How much she’s grown…" @ljkcoachlou wrote: "She's adorable!! Love your Mia shares. Thank you for sharing your days with us. Happy nesting!!" @louiserose303 replied: "This is so adorable of Mia - her mummy bond." @kate_proud_mum3781 added: "Aww bless her absolutely adorable."
