Gemma Atkinson broke her social media silence to share a sweet family moment with her followers. Over the weekend, the pregnant Hits Radio host told her fans that she had ditched Greater Manchester and headed for sunnier climes alongside her fiance Gorka Marquez and their daughter, Mia.
They have jetted off for what Gemma, 38, has previously said will be their last holiday as a family of three after she and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka, 32, revealed back in January that they are expecting their second child together, which they also confirmed is a baby boy.
On Sunday (April 2), the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star posted a photo to her Instagram Story. As the sun beamed, the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star looked up past the palm trees and up to the clear blue sky. "Switching off for some much needed family time in paradise," she typed alongside the image.
It comes after Gemma poked fun at herself as she told fans she had entered the pregnancy stage of only wearing sports bras and was in need of new underwear. In a comical video, she also said: "What else? hairy tummy even though I'm shaving it daily. Sweating profusely. Yeah, just the usual stuff that comes with growing a human." Comically placing her mug on her growing bump she added: "That's handy."
She then said she also needed new swimwear for a holiday for her growing bump. The Bury-born star joked that she resembled Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin, from the film Batman Returns. "I looked like Oswald Cobblepot this morning, I tried swimming stuff on. I looked like Danny Devito in Batman," she quipped.
But it appears the family are having the much-needed time together they need before their next bundle of joy enters the world. Taking to her Instagram Story on Tuesday (April 4), Gemma shared an adorable video of Gorka and Mia on the beach. The dancer could be seen doting on his little girl, three, as she ran around with a bucket and spade.
She added a gif over the video which said: "It's the little things in life," before setting the short video to The Shires emotional track, Daddy's Little Girl.
Last week, Gemma took part in a Q&A with her fans where she answered loads of questions about her pregnancy, including sharing why two is the magic number when it comes to the number of children she and Spanish-born Gorka want to have. "Will you stop at two babies as you have one of each?" She was asked to which she replied: "Absolutely!"
She then brilliantly added: "We don't want to be outnumbered," alongside a crying laughing emoji. Gemma was also asked whether she was nervous about going from one child to two to which she said: "No, I'm excited. When I found out I was pregnant I instantly lowered my expectations of everything else being perfect. My appearance, the state of my house, my sleep, it's gonna be chaos. But we're so lucky to be able to do it all again. It's all worth it."
