Pregnant Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend enjoy glamorous White House dinner

Chrissy Teigen joined Jennifer Garner and her daughter for a lavish White House state dinner as President Biden rolled out the red carpet for French President Emmanuel Macron.

The heavily pregnant American model, 34, who is expecting her third child with husband John Legend, wore black gloves and a flowing pink dress while he rocked a black tux as the pair linked arms on the red carpet.

Some 200 Maine lobsters were flown in for the candle-lit occasion.

Other star studded guests included actress Jennifer Garner and her daughter Violet, who she shares with Ben Affleck, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and director Baz Luhrmann.

Guests strutted along the red carpet in front of reporters to a reception in the White House before taking a trolley bus to a pavilion on the South Lawn for the formal dinner around 10 pm.

There they were treated to toasts, music from Jon Batiste, Chardonnay from the Napa Valley and cheeses from Oregon, California and Wisconsin.

Macron arrived in Washington on Tuesday for his second state visit to the United States since the French leader took office in 2017.

Chrissy looks well recovered from her health scare in September after revealing that while in hospital, she underwent two blood transfusions, but assured her adoring admirers that her brave little boy is ‘completely fine’.

At the time, the brunette beauty insisted: “Hello from hospital. I’m about to have my second blood transfusion which truly truly truly sounds more dramatic than it is.

“It’s an IV, but instead of fluids, the blood of some kind human being out there.”

She continued: “Baby and I are completely fine, I’m just missing the little things like walking...cooking...playing with the other buttbutts.”

On Thursday night, Biden and his wife, Jill, welcomed the Macrons back to the White House for the dinner after diplomatic meetings earlier in the day.

The dinner is the crowning social event of a trip aimed at showing Biden's commitment to Washington's oldest ally even as the two countries wrangle over how to handle Russia's war in Ukraine, subsidies for U.S. products and other issues.

Both presidents wore tuxedos. Jill wore an Oscar de la Renta lace dress and dangly silver earrings. Macron's wife, Brigitte, was clad in Louis Vuitton.

Biden, 80, and Macron, 44, have had many meetings at international gatherings but this was the longest time they have spent together.

Biden said: "Tonight we celebrate the enduring alliance between France and the United States. Vive la France and God bless America."

Macron added that the two countries come from "the same values" of "we, the people."
