Predicted Manchester United line-up to face Fulham as Garnacho one of six changes

Manchester United travel to Fulham on Sunday in what is their final game before the Premier League shuts down for a month. The competition will enter a hiatus due to the first-ever winter World Cup but before that Erik ten Hag will want to sign off with an important win against the Cottagers.

There will have to be an enforced change for United as defender Diogo Dalot is suspended. The Portuguese's unblemished record of starting every single game this term will finally go as he picked up a yellow card in last week's game against Aston Villa.

As it was his fifth caution of the season it means he has to sit the trip to Craven Cottage out.

In terms of who will come in, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the only other recognised senior right-back in the squad but has been starved of action this term. That means Victor Lindelof is a possible option at right-back, with Harry Maguire keeping his spot at centre-half and Lisandro Martinez returning after sitting out the cup tie.

Dalot is the third United player to incur such a suspension this season, following Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes. The latter had to sit out at Villa Park last week but after impressing in the midweek rematch he should keep his spot. Casemiro and Christian Eriksen should also return after being substitutes on Thursday.

In attack, positive updates were issued by the Dutchman on both Cristiano Ronaldo and Antony although neither looks likely to start on Sunday. After making a goalscoring return to the team, Anthony Martial could well get the nod again whilst Marcus Rashford looks a sure bet to stay in the side.

The only remaining slot looks like going to Alejandro Garnacho who caught the eye with two assists in his half-hour cameo against Villa.

Predicted United XI : De Gea; Lindelof, Martinez, Maguire, Shaw; Fernandes, Eriksen, Casemiro; Garnacho, Rashford, Martial.
