NEW DELHI: Prakash Padukone, a renowned figure in Indian badminton, will accompany the 15-member national team to the Paris Olympics as a mentor. The prestigious event is slated to commence on July 26.
Despite badminton making its Olympic debut at the 1992 Barcelona Games, Padukone had already retired from professional play in 1991. He etched his name in history by becoming the first Indian to clinch the All England Championship title.
