‘Power to the people’: Musk confirms $8 Twitter blue tick as he brands current system ‘bulls***’

Elon Musk has confirmed that a Twitter blue tick will cost $8 (£6.97) per month as he branded the platform’s current verification system “bulls***”.

The social media company’s new owner took to Twitter on Tuesday to confirm the change he was making and to explain how it would work.
