Following his victory in the 2024 presidential election, President-elect Donald Trump is now focusing on selecting key individuals to fill his Cabinet positions. Among the top contenders for the role of Secretary of State are Senator Marco Rubio from Florida, Senator Bill Hagerty from Tennessee, and former national security advisor Robert O'Brien.

Senator Marco Rubio, known for his work on national security and foreign relations committees, has expressed interest in serving the country in a potential role within the Trump administration. Senator Bill Hagerty, a former ambassador to Japan under Trump, is also being considered for the position. Additionally, Robert O'Brien, who co-founded an international policy advisory firm after leaving the Trump administration, is in the running for Secretary of State.
