French police have confirmed how a British couple died just days after their bodies were found in their rural home in south-west France.

Andrew and Dawn Searle, 62 and 56, were found dead at 12.20pm on Thursday by a neighbour in the hamlet of Les Pesquiès, Villefranche-de-Rouergu.
