Brits travelling to Portugal this summer will still be able to use the same fast-track queues EU passport holders use.
The country confirmed, that despite Brexit, UK arrivals at Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal and other airports in Portugal can use the e-gates. This means Brits will not have to use the manual non-EU traveller's corridor.
In a press release, Gatwick Airport said: “Lisbon, Faro, Porto and Funchal (Madeira Island) airports all have RAPIDforALL e-gate facilities available, so British passengers using them do not need to queue in conventional passport control lanes, although they will still be required to go through a quick passport stamping process."

The president of Turismo de Portugal Luis Araujo told The Telegraph the e-gates would "provide increased accessibility for our valued British travellers, as we head into the busy summer period." He said: “We’re delighted to have made travel to Portugal even more seamless for those able to make the most of the new e-gates."
If you’re fully vaccinated, you can enter mainland Portugal without needing to test. You must present proof that you have been fully vaccinated when you check in for your flight to mainland Portugal.
If you’re not fully vaccinated, you’ll need to show proof of a negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before entry) or rapid lateral flow test (taken no more than 24 hours before entry) when you check-in for your flight to mainland Portugal.
All travellers to the Azores are required to complete a passenger locator form before arrival. It is recommended you complete a form if you are travelling to Madeira or Porto Santo.
