Portishead Open Air pool has announced its plans to open for heated swim sessions ahead of the Easter break. The popular outdoor swimming pool will be open for booking from Saturday, April 9.
After being forced to close over the pandemic, the Lido in Esplanade Road opened up its pool again last year. Over the winter months cold water sessions have ben taking place at the pool, but now the sun is beginning to shine again locals can enjoy heated swim opportunities again.
And, whilst the cold water sessions only run one day a week - the heated swim sessions usually offer more variety. Last year eager swimmers even got to enjoy an open-air screening of the film Grease.

Though the pool is reopening again for the spring/summer season, there will still be Covid restrictions in place. Swimmers are asked to obey social distancing guidelines at the venue as well as being asked to wear masks when queuing, unless exempt.
The pool usually remains open until September after opening in April. The sessions will be bookable but guests are also invited to visit without a reservation.
Bookings for the heated swim sessions are yet to open but will be available online.
