Port Adelaide's Maria Moloney has been slapped with a two-match ban for a dangerous tackle that resulted in her opponent being taken to hospital.
Moloney grabbed the arm of Lily-Rose Williamson and dragged her to the ground in the dying moments of Essendon's 27-point win.
Williamson fell awkwardly on her head, and was stretchered off the ground before being taken to hospital with neck pain.
The incident was assessed as careless conduct, high impact and high contact, drawing a two-match ban.
Ironically, Williamson was handed a reprimand for her own rough tackle on Moloney.
Moloney's teammate Sachi Syme was handed a one-match ban for a dangerous tackle on Jacqui Vogt.
Port Adelaide's season is now over, meaning the suspensions handed to Moloney and Syme will be served next year.
Melbourne duo Tayla Harris and Shelley Heath are among a throng of players who can accept reprimands for incidents stemming from last week.
