There’s been heavy backlash against the Tesla-led consolidation of all functions behind touchscreen menus and their cousins, haptic buttons. And automakers are taking notice. Even Volkswagen’s CEO came out against touchscreen menus in certain applications, saying: "I don't understand why anybody would have [touch-sensitive] sliders."
