Porsche Design Turns Car Storage Into A Members Only Country Club

Porsche Design and Newgard Development Group have announced the first two US locations for Porsche Design Concours, a car ownership concept that looks nothing like a storage unit. The sites in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Dallas, Texas, are described as in development, with the West Palm Beach destination targeting a 2028 opening.

Each location pairs privately owned automobile studios with a private, membership-based Clubhouse built around hospitality and wellness. The project is open to collectors of any marque, not just Porsche owners, which sets it apart from a typical brand-run facility.

First Locations Confirmed In West Palm Beach And Dallas

The two cities were picked deliberately. According to Porsche Design and Newgard Development Group, the sites sit within 10 to 15 minutes of established collector communities in South Florida and North Texas, the kind of dense enthusiast base a membership project needs to work.

Beyond these first two, the companies say additional Porsche enthusiast gatherings and collector hubs across the country are being scouted for future Porsche Design Concours developments, though no further cities have been named yet.

Harvey Hernandez, CEO and founder of Newgard Development Group, called the venture personal. "This project is very personal. I have spent my career developing real estate, but I have also spent much of my life around cars and collectors," he said.

Hernandez added that the broader goal extends past these first two cities. "Our vision with Porsche Design Concours is to create a carefully curated network of these destinations across the United States," he said, describing a slow rollout.

First Two Sites Share 44 Privately Owned Automobile Studios

The initial West Palm Beach and Dallas locations are planned to include 22 privately owned automobile studios in each city, for 44 studios total across the first two destinations. The studios range from 2,700 to 6,000 square feet, sold by invitation only rather than listed publicly.

Ownership is deeded, meaning buyers hold title to the space itself rather than a storage lease. Each studio includes a mezzanine level, a full bathroom, wet bar facilities and a climate-controlled environment built to protect cars long-term.

The studios are organized around a shared interior promenade called The Concours, which functions as the architectural spine of each site. It is the detail that most separates this from a conventional garage complex as the cars are arranged for display and circulation, not stacked away out of sight.

Volker Strotmeier, a member of the Porsche Lifestyle Group Executive Board, described the concept as a brand extension beyond the Porsche badge itself. "Porsche Design Concours represents an exciting evolution of our design philosophy," he said, a comment that signals Porsche Design's growing interest in lifestyle and bespoke projects adjacent to the automaker.

The Clubhouse Adds Spas, Dining And Round-The-Clock Security

The Clubhouse is the social core of each destination, and it reads more like a country club than a car park. Planned amenities include padel courts, spa and wellness facilities, dining, private lounges, coworking space and outdoor terraces.

Event spaces and concierge service round out the owner programming, alongside 24-hour security. The emphasis throughout is on community and hospitality rather than simple vehicle protection.

Access is not limited to Porsche ownership. The concept is built to accommodate collections from any manufacturer, which positions Porsche Design Concours as a cross-brand social hub rather than a marque-exclusive clubhouse for 911 and GT3 owners alone.

Membership and pricing details have not been released, and neither company has said whether the Clubhouse will be open to non-studio members. Sales for the studios themselves will proceed by invitation only as the 2028 opening date approaches.
