Nottingham Street Food Club have announced they are returning to Sneinton Market with their outdoor pop-up food event for a third year. The street food club has grown into three locations across the city centre although the outdoor venue only happens during the summer months.
Entry to the street food club at Sneinton Market is free to book and then visitors can take their pick from a variety of independent Nottingham-based traders and enjoy a fully licensed bar in a caravan. The vendors on offer change each weekend when the event opens on a Friday night meaning that no two nights are the same. As well as tasty food, there will be appearances from DJs and live music performances.
Vendors for the first night which takes place on Sunday, May 1, have been announced as the Hip Hop Food Shop which offers 'hip hop eats and killer beats'. Dirty chicken will be in attendance with their burgers, wings and sides alongside Elcontador Mexican food. Elcontador has a 100 percent gluten-free menu including tacos and nachos.

The Street Food Club was founded by Nathan Wilson who also runs the creative studio Mimm in Broad Street. The original street food location can be found upstairs in the Victoria Centre. The idea for an outdoor venue happened as restrictions forced food fans online or outside. It returned for a second year in 2021 before a third location at Future Makers Warehouse on Daleside road.
This year's return of Street Food Club will also be followed by an event at the warehouse location on Friday, May 6, from 5pm until 7pm. Entry to the warehouse costs £10 and customers are encouraged to book in advance.
The Victoria Centre location has a strong 4.6 rating. Customers wrote rave reviews about the food online and many have signed up on Facebook to attend the launch.
One person wrote: "Fascinating little place to come for what has to be some of the best street food in the United Kingdom. With regulars Homeboys and Smoqued delivering amazing food each week, the other two varied vendors bring anything from burgers to Chinese or Indian. If you want stunning fresh food that tastes amazing for a reasonable price then this place is a must-visit."
Another added: "Excellent place to visit to try a variety of different foods and drinks. Very vibrant and polite staff. I was particularly impressed with the vegan Indian. This is pure vegan Indian food, cooked to a high standard and very tasty. Very competitive prices."
