Popular snack recalled from UK supermarkets over allergy fears

  • Halo Foods Limited has issued an urgent product recall for Skinny Crunch Light Peanut Butter Bars after they were accidentally packaged in Skinny Whip Toffee wrappers.
  • The Food Standards Agency warned that the mix-up poses a severe risk to anyone with a peanut allergy, as peanuts are omitted from the toffee bar ingredient list.
  • The affected items were sold at selected Sainsbury's and Asda stores in 5-pack boxes with a best-before date of August 2027 and batch code 6238.
  • Shoppers who have bought the impacted batch are urged not to consume the bars and to return them to their nearest store for a full refund.
  • Halo Foods is displaying point-of-sale notices in stores and the FSA confirmed that no other products or batches are affected by the error.
