A popular pub in Ramsbottom has gone up for sale for a six-figure-sum.
The Hearth of the Ram, on Peel Brow in the Bury village, is being marketed by Christie & Co. It has a leasehold price tag of £125,000 and a freehold value of £1.5m.
The RightMove listing says the pub can house nearly 200 guests, as it features a ‘dining conservatory’, plus bars on the ground and first floors. It was last refurbished in 2012, it adds.
“During the course of the last 10 years the business has established itself as one of the premier hospitality venues within the area, and as our clients look to retire this is an ideal opportunity to purchaser (or lease) an established and successful business,” the listing says.
“[This is] a double fronted two/three storey semi-detached property of part-rendered stone elevations beneath a pitched tile roof line. The property has the advantage of a large permanent dining conservatory extension, al fresco decked seating area, and car parking.
“Prominently located upon Peel Brow within sight of Ramsbottom station and five minutes walk to the highly regarded, and affluent village of Ramsbottom.”
It adds that the business had a turnover of £858,215 in the nine months to December 2021, when there were still some restrictions on hospitality businesses in the pandemic.
