A hospitality firm has been given the go ahead to transform an art deco hotel in Tynemouth into a pub-with-rooms, complete with fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour.
The Inn Collection Group snapped up the Park Hotel in Tynemouth last year, and previously submitted plans to demolish part of the hotel.
Now the Alnwick company has been given the green light to refurbish the building and introduce new attractions for customers, including a two-storey extension to provide new hotel bedrooms.
