A Nottinghamshire pub has reopened following a £100,000 makeover. The Tawny Owl, in Balderton, has undergone an "intensive" two-week revamp.
Regulars got the chance to see the new look at a reopening do on Friday, August 5, at their local in William Hall Way. It includes new soft furnishings and a newly-designed bar area. Marston's Brewery says the investment adds a modern take on the traditional community pub.
A new menu with pub classics is also being launched. To mark the occasion guests will get to trial the new menu with 50 per cent off as well as their first drink on the house.
