Popular Midlothian country park to show Elvis on huge outdoor cinema screen

A popular outdoor cinema experience is set to return to a busy local country park next summer, with one box office hit in particular to be the centrepiece.

Arriving at Dalkeith Country Park in June, fans of Elvis will be able to watch the recently produced movie starring Tom Hanks and Austin Butler out in the open and in front of a huge outdoor cinema screen.

With the country park hosting similar events in the past, Adventure Cinema have expressed a desire to repeat their popular experience for local movie fans who would like to watch the flicks as the sun sets in the distance.

With cosy blankets and plenty of snacks suggested, the outdoor cinema experience will visit Dalkeith Country Park on Friday, June 30, as part of a huge nationwide tour - with Elvis being the theme throughout.

2022 was Adventure Cinema's best year to date, with their Mamma Mia tour selling out. The team are hoping to recreate their success by showing the film which is a celebration of the notorious King of Rock & Roll during their visit to 38 different locations.

Ben Lovell, Co-Director, Adventure Cinema, commented: "We are delighted that Adventure Cinema will return next summer to celebrate the iconic King of Rock & Roll and offer everyone the chance to see the newly released movie in an incredible outdoor setting. Summer 2022 was our longest season yet and we can’t wait to bring everyone together again for unforgettable cinema experiences."

Guests are free to bring their own blankets, rugs and chairs to relax in front of the big screen, although the summer weather should make the experience more enjoyable and scenic. Drinks and snack stalls will also be present for those who like to stick to tradition when visiting the cinema, indoor or out.

For more information and to book your tickets in advance, which are priced at £15.50 per person, you can visit the Adventure Cinema website here.
