Popular Manchester bar giving away free cocktails next week and here's how to get one

February has a couple of huge calendar events, from Valentine’s Day on February 14, to Shrove Tuesday the following week. But did you know that there’s also a day dedicated to a popular cocktail - with one Manchester bar giving them away for FREE.

National Margarita Day falls on Wednesday, February 22 - which happens to also be Ash Wednesday, too - and Revolución de Cuba will be handing them out on the house to celebrate.

Traditionally made with tequila, triple sec, agave and lime, sometimes seen with a salt rim, the sweet and sour tipple was first created in 1938 in Mexico, and is widely considered the official drink of having fun - not to be confused with the margherita pizza.

The Cuban-themed bar, on Peter Street, certainly knows a thing or two about making the perfect cocktail, but to be in with the chance of snagging the freebie, there are a couple of rules you’ll need to follow.

Customers will need to sign up to the Revolución de Cuba’s newsletter before 23.59pm on February 14, which you can do here at the bottom of the page.

Cocktail fans will then receive a code for a free mango and passionfruit margarita - a twist on the classic cocktail - which can be used between February 15 and National Margarita Day on February 22.

The code is redeemable between at any Revolución de Cuba venue across the UK., but of course, Peter Street is your closest in Manchester.
