Popular Liverpool 'dry bar' The Brink confirms reopening

Popular Liverpool bar The Brink is reopening after closing its doors for good back in 2020.

The venue opened in 2011 as the UK’s first ‘dry bar’, creating a social space for people from all walks of life and supporting people recovering from addiction.

The Brink remained closed after lockdown rules were lifted in 2020, claiming that “the financial impact of Covid-19” meant that it could not reopen its doors.

At the time, Action on Addiction, which was the venue's main funder, said it was a “regrettable but necessary decision to close The Brink Café”.

Now, The Brink has confirmed its return after two years in a big announcement on Twitter.

Sharing the news, The Brink said: “We’re back! The Brink Café is now open 10am-2pm Mon-Fri for coffee, cake, mocktails, smoothies and soft drinks with the kitchen back up and running very soon!

“We’ve missed you all!”

The venue has returned to Parr Street and is now open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 2pm.
