A well-known Indian restaurant has closed its doors to the public after nearly three decades in the business.
Dun Laoghaire residents were left heartbroken after Shakira Indian Restaurant on George's Street Lower made the shocking announcement. The popular eatery said that there is a separate Indian restaurant now operating at the same venue unrelated to Shakira.
A spokesperson said on Facebook: "It is with great sadness, we wish to inform our customers that Shakira Indian Restaurant, Dun Laoghaire is no longer in operation. We would like to thank all our customers for their loyalty and support over the last number of years (almost 27 years). Signing off!"
