A popular hairdryer sold in any TK Maxx or Homesense stores across Ireland has been urgently recalled over electric shock and fire fears.
The Somethings Cosmetics Ultrapower Ionic Hair Dryer and the Elgetec Beauty Ultrapower Ionic Hair Dryer with the batch number is 886714 have been recalled as the plug cord attached to the appliances do not meet safety standards.
The affected products were available for purchase from January 2022 to July 2022.
Around 376 affected products have already been sold in Europe and the United Kingdom.
Given the availability of this product, it may have been sold to customers in the Republic of Ireland.
Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.
If customers have any further queries in relation to this recall, please email TK Maxx at customerservice@tjxeurope.com or call on 01 2476126.
