The team behind a hugely popular coffee shop in the southside say they are delighted to announce they have been given permission to sell alcohol.
The news means that French Monkey on Sinclair Drive in Battlefield will be able to expand their offering with new daytime and evening plans in place.
Speaking to Glasgow Live, they revealed that the decision last Friday in the Licensing Board meeting means they can now offer residents and visitors a bottleshop selling select wines and local beers.

There are also plans to launch an evening offering with a focused wine and cocktail menu accompanied by small plates in the coming months.
Speaking about the exciting plans, a spokesperson from the French Monkey team said: “We are looking forward to reinventing the space at night and continuing our ethos around high-quality produce from local suppliers taking inspiration from places like Top Cuvée and Sager + Wilde in London."
Alongside speciality coffees, French Monkey are popular for their small brunch plates, fresh bread and pastries, with Battlefield residents now able to look forward to the bottleshop and wine and cocktail menu. We can't wait to check them out.
