A popular Edinburgh pizza takeaway is temporarily closing its doors due to staff shortages and other successful business ventures.
East Pizza’s shop in Morningside is closing its doors to customers to focus on other projects after claiming keeping the shop open is "unsustainable".

The pizza shop is known for their carefully baked gourmet pizzas on their homemade special recipe sourdough pizza base.
Due to their success around Edinburgh, they were confirmed as one of the restaurants on offer at the Bonnie and Wild food market in the St James Centre which opened last June.
They have also recently started a side business where they sell their 72-hour proven sourdough pizza dough for customers to bake their own pizzas at home.
The aim is to provide a perfectly mixed sourdough starter to make pizza making easier.
Claiming staff shortages and these new successful business ventures as the temporary closure, they took to social media to break the news.
They said: “Due to ongoing staff shortages and the success of east PIZZAS Dough, we have made the difficult decision to close our Morningside shop for the time being.
“We love this wee shop, but it has just become unsustainable to keep it going for now. We’ll keep you updated via this channel with news as we hope to re-open in the future.”
Pizza lovers fear not, as despite the closure of their main shop they are continuing to serve pizzas at Bonnie and Wild and will be providing home delivered sourdough pizza bases on the side.
