A popular new bar in Coatbridge, which only opened on St Patrick's Day, has had to take to social media to address rumours that it is due to be demolished.
Cheers Bar on Main Street posted on their official Facebook page after they discovered that people believed they were due to be part of the planned demolition of The Quadrant Shopping Centre.
The post from the team behind the pub read: "As you may be aware, The Quadrant Shopping centre is currently at the demolition stage. We want to make everyone aware that all businesses from The Bank Of Scotland to Eden Nightclub are not included in that demolition.

"The rear of the centre is being demolished and only the rear. We have our space for years to come. We have literally just opened… Who makes up these rumours?"
Fans of the bar, which is open seven days a week and already popular for their live entertainment at the weekend, were heartened by the news.
