A Dunnes Stores Christmas food favourite is not returning to shelves, the supermarket chain has confirmed.
Shoppers are busy this week picking up their favourite festive treats as well as the staples for Christmas dinner but some will be left disappointed at one missing product.
While for some, the Christmas dinner will always be turkey, ham, roast spuds, stuffing and even Brussels sprouts, to others an alternative roast is the other of the day.

This is particularly true for those of us who don’t eat meat and in recent years, the quorn roast has been a must on Christmas day.
The tasty alternative to the traditional roast meat for vegetarians and vegans around the country will not be available in Dunnes Stores this year.
Telling a curious shopper, Dunnes took to twitter to explain the meat alternative will not be on shelves this year:
“Thank you for the tweet. I wish to advise that the Quorn Roast is not ranged across our stores for 2022. I am sorry to disappoint you on this occasion.”
Dunnes Stores will be operating extended opening hours right across Ireland for Christmas 2022. However, hours may vary depending on your location.
If you are planning on making some last minute trips to Dunnes before Christmas, take note of their updated hours. Every store will be closed on Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day with locations returning to more regular business hours until New Year’s Eve.
