Two popular chippers in Celbridge are giving away a free burger every hour to raise money for the homeless and to promote National Burger Day.
To be in with a chance of winning a free Prime Summer Stack Burger, all one has to do is like and share the Macari's page on Facebook. Both of Macrai's takeaways in the Kildare village are participating on Thursday.
Meat producers Kepak will be giving a free meal to the Simon Community for every burger bought from a participating chipper on National Burger Day. All the participating takeaways can be found here.

To ensure the Simon Community get the donation from your burger, post a picture of your burger to social media with the hashtag #NationalBurgerDay. Patrizia Macari,, the owner of the Macari's outlets in Celbridge, told Dublin Live they are giving away free burgers for the "feel-good factor" of the day.
She said: "Every hour we are giving away a Prime Summer Stack Burger which has bacon, cheese, caramelised onions and secret sauce. It is for the feel-good factor. We are giving one of them out every hour in the shops from 4pm to 10pm.
She added: "We are also going to be selling the burger for €4.00 instead of €5.80 just for that day for anyone that wants to try it."
