A spokesperson said: “A safety issue has been identified with SilverCrest S-18 Oilless Air Fryer.
“The product presents a risk of fire. The product’s fuse does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard. This means the fuse can fail leading to the plug overheating or igniting.”.
The product was for sale in Ireland through Ebay and it is not known how many were bought here.
The affected SilverCrest air fryer has the model number S-18.
Giving advice on what to do if you have the product at home, the CCPC said: “If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and discard the product. You may wish to contact the eBay seller to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on eBay.”
