Following the release of the 2023 schedule for the Indianapolis Colts, we now know the path the team will be on for the upcoming campaign.
While the sportsbooks are a bit down on the Colts’ chances to compete for a playoff spot going into the season, there are plenty of reasons for optimism, starting with rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson and new head coach Shane Steichen.
Coming off a 4-12 season, the Colts earned the No. 4 overall pick. They turned that into Richardson while adding some immense depth and competition on both sides of the ball throughout the 2023 NFL draft.
They also added some intriguing names through free agency such as edge rusher Samson Ebukam, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and kicker Matt Gay.
In a division littered with young quarterbacks, the Colts will have their chances to surprise the league by outperforming their projections.
