POLL: Do you support Wales' default speed limit changing from 30mph to 20mph?

The Welsh Government is set to reduce the default speed limit on roads from 30mph to 20mph beginning on September 17. It is claimed the move will have "a number of benefits", including a reduction in road collisions and serious injury and more people making the decision to walk and cycle.

When the Senedd passed The Restricted Roads (20 mph Speed Limit) (Wales) Order, it made Wales one of the first countries in the world - and the first in the UK - to have 20mph speed limits on roads routinely used by motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. A recently released report from the Welsh Government said the speed limit will result in slower driving speeds yet have a minimal impact on journey times. It also claimed that the change will result in "a number of benefits including a reduction in road collisions and serious injury, more people walking and cycling and improvements to health and wellbeing”.
