- Reform UK leader Nigel Farage called for a general election following Sir Keir’s announcement and commented: “Reform demands an election, and we are ready to deliver radical change”.
- Green Party leader Zack Polanski said “Starmer lost the confidence of the country because of his abject failure to challenge the power and wealth of an establishment” and added Andy Burnham “must be bold or he will be bust” if he replaces Sir Keir in Downing Street.
