A Polish woman claiming to be Madeline McCann is not the missing tot, DNA test results show.
Julia Wendell, who also goes by the names of Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt, went viral online after saying she could be Madeline based on similarities in their appearance, the Mirror reports.
Madeline was just three years old when she disappeared while on a family holiday to Portugal back in 2007.
Despite spending millions on the case, detectives have never been able to trace the young Brit or figure out what happened to her.
Julia first claimed to be Madeline on her Instagram account @IAmMadeleineMcCann, which amassed over one million followers before being taken down.
Among her supposed evidence, the 21-year-old said that she looked similar to computer generated images predicting who the missing tot would look like today.
She also shares the same rare eye condition as the missing tot - a coloboma in her right eye, which makes the pupil appear misshapen.
In a bid to confirm her suspicions, Julia travelled to the US to undergo DNA testing.
However, after weeks of waiting, the results show she is not the missing girl.
