Police have issued a warning after 'idiotic' football fans caused trouble following recent Bolton Wanderers matches.
British Transport Police said violence broke out after recent home games at the University of Bolton stadium. In one incident, after a fixture with Peterborough on September 17, football-related anti-social behaviour was reported on a train from Horwich Parkway to Bolton and at Bolton station.
Some people are already being investigated for public order offences and assault, officers said. Investigations are continuing to 'identify the remaining suspects'.
