Detectives are urging the public not to approach a suspect being hunted over the stabbing of a woman in east London.
Romanian national Catalin Bostan, 46, knows the victim who was attacked at a residential property on Oakfield Road, East Ham.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports a 48-year-old female suffered a stab injury at 9am last Wednesday.
Paramedics took her to an east London hospital where thankfully the wound was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
Scotland Yard said: “Following extensive enquiries, police have released details of a man they want to speak to.
“Catalin Bostan is a Romanian national and is described as approximately 5ft 8ins tall and of stocky build.
“He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, burgundy trainers and a black coat with a white stripe.
“Officers believe he could be sleeping rough in the Barking or East Ham areas.
“He and the victim are believed to be known to each other.”
Police said any sightings of Bostan should be reported to 999 immediately.
A spokesman added: “He should not be approached.”
