Police want to speak to this woman after 'deliberate' bar blaze that caused huge evacuation of student halls

Police want to speak to this woman in connection with a 'deliberate' fire that caused a huge evacuation of student halls. Emergency services were called out to the blaze, at the former McCauley's Bar on Bradshawgate, in Bolton, on April 19 last year.

No injuries were reported, but students had to be swiftly evacuated from nearby halls of residence for their safety. Officers investigating the fire now believe it was caused deliberately and that the woman pictured may hold 'vital' information that could assist with enquiries.

At the time, witnesses reported seeing six fire engines rush to the fire, at a former pub, with paramedics also present at the scene. Plumes of smoke were seen rising above the town centre as The Cube student accommodation was temporarily evacuated.

Nine months on from the fire, investigations are still ongoing into the cause of the blaze. Police are continuing to appeal for information and have urged any witnesses to contact the force.
