Police vow 'strong response' to any violence ahead of anti-immigration protests

POLICE have said they will have a “strong response” to any violence or disorder in Glasgow, ahead of an anti-immigration and counter-protests due to take place in the city on Saturday.

An anti-immigration protest is expected to take place in Glasgow Green at 1pm, with opponents, including Stand Up to Racism Scotland, holding a counter-demonstration at the park starting at midday.
