Three teenagers questioned on suspicion of murder following the death of Ava White remain under investigation.
The boys were among four suspects arrested in the hours after the 12-year-old suffered a stab wound to her neck in Liverpool city centre.
One of those has since been charged with murder.

Ava had been with friends watching the Christmas lights being switched on when the tragic incident unfolded.
Police were called to reports of an assault on Church Alley, off Church Street, at 8.39pm on Thursday, November 26.
Officers found a passerby giving Ava first aid. Paramedics then attended and the Notre Dame Catholic College student was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where she died.
Her death prompted anguish and concerns about knife crime, while hundreds of mourners left balloons, flowers and heartfelt messages at the scene.
Among those to pay tribute was Peter Duffy, Notre Dame’s headteacher.
He said: “Ava was a much loved, valued and unique member of the Notre Dame family. She was an incredibly popular girl with a fantastic group of friends.
“Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Ava’s family and friends and all those affected by this utterly tragic event.”
Ava’s dad, Robert Martin, said the family was “completely devastated and heartbroken” as he thanked those who had shown their support.
That included a city centre rally in her memory that attracted a significant turnout.
On Sunday, further tributes were paid outside Anfield stadium on what would have been her 13th birthday.
Within 12 hours of Merseyside Police receiving the first report of an assault, the force had made four arrests.
The boys, all from south Liverpool, were aged from 13 to 15 and were arrested on suspicion of murder.
One of the suspects, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was then charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
He is due to appear in court next month and could face a trial in May.
Merseyside Police today confirmed the three other boys remain on conditional bail as the investigation continues.
