Two men most recently arrested on suspicion of murdering Sam Rimmer have been released on bail.
Yesterday, on Thursday, March 30, police confirmed they arrested two men in connection with the shooting.Sam was shot dead on Lavrock Bank, in Dingle, at around 11.40pm on August 16, 2022.
The 22-year-old was with a group of friends when two suspects, riding electric bikes, drove into the cul-de-sac and fired a number of shots towards the group. A 22-year-old man, from Dingle, and a 21-year-old man, from Netherley, were recently arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detectives have now confirmed that they have been released on bail. They revealed that two further men, a 23 year-old man, from Woolton, and a 20-year-old man, from Huyton, also attended at police stations on Merseyside last night.
They were both arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, questioned by detectives and have also been released on bail. The most recent arrests bring the total number in connection with the murder of Sam to eight.
Detective Inspector John Holden said: "I’d urge anyone who holds information and has yet to come forward to please do so. Please don’t assume with the passage of time that we already have this information or make a guess as to how significant it might be.
