Police have issued an update on the condition of a man stabbed in the chest.
The victim, 24, was rushed to hospital after being stabbed at around 6.30pm on Saturday, March 11. He remains in hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in the chest and legs but his condition is now being described as critical but stable.
Detectives visited the scene, on Carr Lane East, Croxteth, after the incident and three people were arrested. A 44-year-old man, from Liverpool, on suspicion of attempted murder and two women, from Liverpool, aged 46 and 49, on suspicion of attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent.

One woman, Natalie Bennett, 46, of Carr Lane East was charged with Section 18 wounding and appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday. The other two people arrested have been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
Speaking after the incident, detective inspector Neil Dillon said: "We are currently in the early stages of an investigation after a man was stabbed in West Derby last night. We believe there was an altercation at an address on Carr Lane East that has resulted in a man suffering stab wounds.
"We currently have three people in custody but our enquiries remain ongoing.
